Cookie Policy
Essential, analytics and advertising cookies, and how to consent, withdraw or manage them in your browser.
Last updated 2026. This page explains the cookie types we use and how to manage or withdraw consent.
Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Basic site operation and remembering your cookie choice (stored locally in your browser) | Always on |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, anonymous usage statistics | Only with consent |
| Advertising | Google AdSense ad delivery, personalisation and measurement | Only with consent |
How we obtain consent
On first visit you see a cookie banner: “Accept all”, “Essential only” or “Manage”, where you can tick analytics and advertising separately. The site uses Google Consent Mode; these cookies never load before consent.
Withdrawing consent
- Clear this site’s local storage (localStorage) in your browser and refresh — the banner reappears;
- Or clear/block cookies in your browser settings;
- Turn off Google personalised ads in Google Ads Settings.
Rejecting analytics and advertising cookies does not affect the optimizer, calculator or articles.
Google cookies
Google may use advertising cookies (including third-party vendor cookies) to serve and optimise ads, governed by Google’s privacy policy and AdSense terms.
